F.A.Q.'s

Q. How much is a furnace?

A. Well, that is a little like asking "how much is a
car". The answer is "it depends". Furnaces have
advanced considerably over the course of the past 20
years. There are dozens of variables and models to
suit any application and address any comfort issues
you have with your current system. That said, a
furnace can be installed for as little as $1595.

Q. Do I need to get my furnace checked very year?

A. Yes, and for $74.95, it is a bargain in ensuring
your families comfort and safety in the winter season.

Q. I have a carbon monoxide detector, do I still need
to get it checked?

A. The CO detector that you purchased likely will not
sound until it detects quantities of carbon monoxide
above 35 part per million. The test we perform will
detect quantities from 1 ppm. The EPA states that
anything above 9ppm is a health hazard. By the way,
the optimum place to mount a detector is in the
sleeping area's, high on the wall (above five feet).

Q. Is a humidifier really that important?

A. Yes. Maintaining indoor humidity at 35% will
insure indoor comfort, stop any damage to hardwood
flooring or furniture AND allow a lower setpoint on
your thermostat?

Q. Do those automatic thermostats really save any
money on energy?

A. You bet! Tests have shown that utilizing two
setback periods, during the day and at night while you
are asleep, can reduce your energy bill by 16%.

sent to our customers contain many cost saving
suggestions.

Q. What does SEER mean.

A. Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. Beginning last
January, the entire country went to a new base SEER.
The old base was 10 SEER. The new base is 13 SEER. In
short it is a little like how many miles per gallon
your auto gets....SEER equates to how well your air
conditioner uses electricity. The higher the SEER
number, the better the "gas mileage".
